When I look at my childhood photo album, I am transported by the colors of the decor, toys, and clothes surrounding me and my family. As I look at these photos, the faded photos with their cracks and creases, and even the sound of turning the plastic-wrapped pages, I am filled with nostalgia. “Footie Pajamas” is named for a photo of myself as a small child, wearing cuddly yellow pajamas. In this piece I have used retro collage materials and a throwback color palette to create a soft, nostalgic feel.
