Queen Bee

“Queen Bee” features multiple layered patterns and a collage background of vintage/reused materials with an overall green theme; the color palette was inspired by an open grassy field I drive past daily, which holds nothing but a row of bee boxes in mismatched colors. There are many wonderful details to discover in this cheery piece.

18x18” acrylic, pencil, and collage (fabric and paper) on canvas, sealed with satin varnish. Framed in a natural maple frame for final dimensions of 19x19x2.” Hanging hardware is installed on the back.
