Posies

SOLD

I always thought a posy was a flower, but it turns out it’s a small bouquet! In the Victorian era, each flower had its own meaning, and posies were known to convey messages through the specific combinations of blooms. When I learned this, I knew “Posy” was the perfect title for this floral series; each one is simple and sweet, and at the same time has enough complexity for you to find your own meaning in the details.

These abstract blooms coexisting with a geometric background are 11x14” acrylic and collage (fabric and paper) on 140lb cold-press watercolor paper. They are framed in simple wood frames with final dimensions of 12x15x.75”.
