Chip off the old pot

When creating “Chip Off the Old Pot,” I dumped all of my collage scraps onto the canvas and attached each piece haphazardly without plan or intention. Over this messy layer, I created a more structured stripe-and-grid composition using warm terra cotta tones and cool neutrals. The overall effect is whimsical and playful; it reminds me of pieces of a broken flowerpot reassembled as a mosaic.

20x24” acrylic and collage (fabric and paper) on gallery-wrapped canvas, sealed with satin varnish. Sides are white and hanging hardware is installed on the back.
